William
L. W. Henson, MSc. has been studying (post-graduate) and working as
a researcher in windpower and windpower related fields for approximately
9 years. He is currently
working on his doctoral dissertation (at UMass Amherst) in windpower
integration, participates in the NERC Integration of Variable Generation
Task Force, and reviews electrical power and controls related articles
for the journal Wind Engineering.
In July of 2008 Mr. Henson joined ISO New England as Senior
Engineer in Renewable Resource Integration in order to help evaluate the
proposals, to carry out the performance of, and implement the
recommendations developed during the New England Wind Integration Study;
as well as to evaluate renewable energy power generation and enabling
technologies and to facilitate the cost-effective integration of
renewable energy into the New England power system.
